your guide to delaware post-licensing classes

Taking the 99 hour pre-licensing course is just the beginning of your education in real estate. Once you’ve passed the State and National exams and partnered with a brokerage to apply for your Delaware real estate license, the Delaware Real Estate Commission requires all new salespersons to complete 12 hours of mandatory post-licensing education.

This additional training is designed to give you practical knowledge and professional skills as you transition into the business. At Central Delaware Real Estate Academy, we make sure our students know exactly what to expect so they can stay compliant and confident.

When Is Post-Licensing Due?

You must complete your 12 hours of post-licensing education within 90 days of your license issuance date. Missing this deadline could results in fines for not only you but your brokerage.

How Many Hours Are Required?

The requirement is 12 classroom hours total, divided into four modules:

  1. Newly Licensed Sales Person Module 1: Professional Standards in Real Estate (3 hours)

  2. Newly Licensed Sales Person Module 2: Agreement of Sale and Buyer Representation (3 hours)

  3. Newly Licensed Sales Person Module 3: Real Estate Documents and Seller Representation (3 hours)

  4. Newly Licensed Sales Person Module 4: Real Estate Professionalism (3 hours)
