Get Your Delaware Real Estate License by the End of First Quarter 2026

If you’re ready to become a real estate agent in Delaware, timing matters more than you think. With our next Delaware Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course starting December 1st, this is your opportunity to begin the licensing process before the new year and be fully prepared to launch your career by the end of Quarter 1 2026.

Here’s exactly how to confidently get licensed.

Step 1: Enroll in the 99-Hour Pre-Licensing Course

The Delaware Real Estate Commission requires all aspiring agents to complete a 99-hour Pre-Licensing Course through an approved school, like Central Delaware Real Estate Academy.

Our December 1st class offers:

  • Small class size and in person sessions

  • Engaging, instructor-led lessons

  • A structured timeline to finish courses by March 4th

  • A supportive learning environment designed for your success

Seats fill fast because this is the ideal time to start. You don’t lose momentum over the holidays, you build it.

Step 2: Take and Pass the State and National Exams

Once your course is complete, you’ll schedule your National and Delaware Real Estate Exam.

Remember:

  • You have three attempts per portion

  • If you don’t pass in three tries, Delaware requires retaking the pre-licensing course

Our students consistently report feeling confident going into the exam thanks to the depth and clarity of instruction.

Step 3: Apply for Your Delaware Real Estate License

After passing both exam portions, you’ll:

  • Secure a sponsoring Delaware broker

  • Apply through the DelPros licensing portal

  • Submit your school certificate, exam results, and broker statement

Once approved, you're officially a Delaware licensed salesperson!

Step 4: Join a Board of REALTORS® and MLS

To fully activate your business, you’ll join:

  • Your local Board of REALTORS® (Kent County Association of REALTORS®, Sussex County Association of REALTORS®, or New Castle County Board of REALTORS®)

  • The Delaware Association of REALTORS® (DAR)

  • The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR)

  • Your local MLS

This gives you the tools and professional network you need to serve clients.

Start the Process Before the New Year

If your goal is to get licensed in the new year, starting on December 1st sets you up perfectly:

  • Finish the course by March

  • Take the exam early spring

This is the smartest timing for future agents who want to maximize opportunity.
