Here’s What Students are Saying about Math in the Pre-Licensing Course
One of the biggest concerns prospective real estate students typically have is the math portion of the 99 hour Pre-Licensing Course.
"What about the math?"
It's a question we hear often, and for many students, it's the part of the Delaware Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course that causes the most anxiety before class begins.
That's why we're proud to share that our Spring 2026 Math section has officially wrapped up and we're even more excited to share what students had to say about their experience here at Central Delaware Real Estate Academy with this session’s instructor Yarmila Rivera Ortiz.
Here’s what students are saying math in the pre-licensing course.
Building Confidence Through Support
Real estate math isn't about advanced equations or complicated formulas. It's about learning practical calculations you'll encounter throughout your real estate career.
For many students, having an instructor who is patient, approachable, and willing to provide additional support makes all the difference.
One student shared:
"Yarmila was always willing to go over problems and meet one on one to help."
Another noted:
"Very patient instructor and made sure everyone understood before moving on."
At Central Delaware Real Estate Academy, we believe education should be challenging enough to promote growth while remaining supportive enough to build confidence. Feedback like this tells us we're accomplishing that goal.
Creating a Positive Learning Environment
The learning environment matters because all students learn differently. Some grasp concepts quickly, while others benefit from additional examples, discussion, and practice. Creating a classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions is an important part of the learning process.
When asked about their experience, students described Yarmila as:
"Excellent, enthusiastic."
"Great instructor."
"Yarmila is the best."
These comments reflect more than just knowledge of the subject matter. They speak to the energy, encouragement, and commitment she brings to every class.
The Value of Small Class Sizes
One of the advantages of attending Central Delaware Real Estate Academy is our commitment to maintaining classroom environments that encourage participation and interaction.
Students highlighted this benefit directly, sharing that we offered the “perfect class size.”
Smaller class sizes allow instructors to answer questions, provide clarification, and ensure students don't get left behind. For many adult learners returning to the classroom after years away from formal education, that support can make a meaningful difference.
Learning Without Feeling Overwhelmed
The Delaware Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course is a 99 hour program and balancing class with work, family, and other responsibilities can feel intimidating at first.
One student described the math course experience as:
"Great course and pacing without it being overwhelming."
That feedback captures something we work hard to achieve. Real estate education should be structured and thorough but it should also feel manageable for working adults.
By breaking concepts into understandable pieces and moving at a pace that supports learning, students can build confidence one class at a time.
Gratitude for our Instructors
We're grateful to have instructors who care deeply about student success and invest their time and energy into helping students achieve their goals.
Thank you to Yarmila Rivera Ortiz for your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to our students.
And thank you to our Spring 2026 students for your hard work, participation, and feedback throughout the course.
We're excited to continue the journey with you as you finish up the remaining portions of the Delaware Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course and work toward your real estate license.
